About
CINQUILL Medical Publishers Inc., henceforth known as “CINQUILL” is a non-profit medical publisher and educational house in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It was founded by Dr. Amer Johri (MD, MSc, FRCPC, FASE) in 2021.
Governing Body
CINQUILL is led by a board of directors that are interested and experienced in the dissemination of knowledge. The board of directors are passionate about medical education and are involved in the strategic planning of short- and long-term goals, working to establish the company as a leading publisher of open-access journals. The board of directors is committed to upholding the best practices set forth to ensure the company fulfils its mission.

Policy on Advertising
CINQUILL accepts advertising for its open access journals, websites, and social media.
Guidelines:
The company or “Advertiser” providing advertisement material/advertising (“Advertisement”) ensures that:
- It is authorized to sell the products and/or services advertised in the Advertisement;
- It has the right to use any trademarks or names depicted in the Advertisement.
- An Advertisement must not infringe upon or violate the rights of any third party, including containing content that is subject to copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other personal or proprietary rights.
- All statements in the Advertisement must carry no direct or implied disparagement of another product or service.
- All Advertisements must clearly identify the Advertiser.
- All Advertisements are independent from editorial decisions. Advertisements will not influence editorial content.
- The placement of an Advertisement is at the discretion of CINQUILL, and its editors. Advertisements that appear adjacent to articles will be displayed randomly and will not be based on the subject matter of the article.
- CINQUILL reserves the right to decline any type of advertising that is inappropriate to the content held on its open access journals, websites, and social media.
- An Advertisement may be withdrawn at any time if the Editor(s)-in-Chief or Publisher request its removal if it:
- Violates CINQUILL’s and/or the Journal’s policies;
- Violates any laws, rules, or regulations, or if CINQUILL is directed to do so by any agency;
- Is the subject of a claim asserted by an entity with respect to its trademarks, trade names, service marks or other proprietary rights.
Policy on Corrections, Retractions and Editorial Expression of Concern
If a correction is needed within an article, the author of the article is required to immediately notify CINQUILL and describe the necessary correction. CINQUILL will send the request for correction to the Editor who will review the request and may consult the Editorial Board for input. Once the correction has been made, an addendum to the original article and the full-corrected article will be published online.
If a retraction is requested, it will be considered by the Editor in conjunction with the members of the Editorial Board. A notice of retraction will be published following the request and approval, disclosing the reasons for the retraction. If the Editor deems it necessary, an Editorial Expression of Concern may be published if there are concerns with a published paper.

Policy on Conflict of Interest
CINQUILL is committed to providing educational content as free as possible from outside inference and influence. All members of CINQUILL will be required to disclose conflicts of interest annually or whenever a new potential conflict of interest occurs. The publications and products of CINQUILL are required to comply with the conflict of interest policies set forth by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors. Policy on Human Rights, Informed Consent, and Ethics
CINQUILL recognizes and respects the rights of participants in medical research, including the right to privacy and for free, informed, and ongoing consent. The acts conducted by CINQUILL will be carried out with ethical compliance for all affairs. All publications of CINQUILL are required to recognize and uphold these rights in their proceedings.
